Feng Shaobao, a worker at the Nanjing Xinhua Shipyard, started to practice Falun Gong in 1995, and soon afterward, he acted like a lunatic.
He once said to his child: "I am learning (Falun) Dafa in Nanjing. I will not die easily. If you don't believe me, you may cut me with a knife." His daughter said: "Don't let me cut you, father. If I killed you. I would be a criminal."
He insisted on letting his daughter cut him, but his daughter thought he was crazy.
In his notebook, Feng Shaobao wrote: "Who are my dear ones? Our true parents are looking at us in Heaven, hoping we will return to them. We all want to return."
Feng Shaobao, who was crazy for Falun Gong, had illusions. He considered a small racoon pasted on a mirror by his daughter as a demon, and tore it off. He used an abrasive paper to rub his daughter's pencil box, trying to get rid of the elephant pattern on the lid.
As he practiced Falun Gong in great sincerity, he became a coach of the "Falun Gong' instruction center in Pukou District.
A practitioner he coached once came to ask him : "Li Hongzhi said that we can become Buddha after practicing Falun Gong. Now that our Falun Gong class has been run for five or six years, a term we can graduate from a university, why is it that we have not seen anyone going up to Heaven?" But Feng Shaobao considered the man was being disrespectful to the master by asking that question.
Finally, Feng Shaobao, who had great respect for Li Hongzhi, died of mental disorder on July 10, 1998, leaving endless pains to his aged parents, wife and daughter.
