Geng Yunlai, a farmer from Pinggu County in the suburbs of Beijing, had been practicing Falun Gong for four years, to an almost crazy extent. Once, when he was bitten by a dog, far from being afraid of catching rabies or simply being angry, he felt pleased. He explained, "I did not even try to avoid the dog when it rushed at me. I felt that its bite would heal me of sins, for I had killed dogs and eaten dog meat."
