Zhu Changjiu, a 33-year-old native of Qinta's Zhangge Village of Renqiu City, Hebei Province, who has only got primary school education, began to practice Falun Gong in 1996. In 1999, he became crazed and obsessed. He thought it was a torment to live but enjoyment to die. After that he became infatuated with Li Hongzhi's fallacies of attaining "all-round fulfillment" and "going up to heaven."
He estimated that his parents should go up to heaven on the night of October 25, 1999. While he found them still alive in the next morning, so, he fetched a hammer on the windowsill in the room on the west side of his home. He dashed into their room and hit forcefully on the head of his father, Zhu Zhenhu. Seeing this, his mother, Dong Daju, came up to stop him and the hammer was knocked away. Zhu grasped a scissors from the table and stabbed his parents crazily. Zhu's parents ran out of the door and were overtaken and wildly stabbed by Zhu until Zhu's father died finally. Zhu ran to the west side of the village after that. He attempted to kill himself by touching electricity but failed. He was arrested by the police. He said, "I want to let my parents enjoy a happy life after going up to heaven."
Li Hongzhi said: "The final goal of practicing Falun Gong is to attain the Way and fulfillment and become Buddha." "The worlds of Buddha and god are worlds made of gold. You should forget about life and death. In this way you can become gods, otherwise you can only be mortals."
