Editor's Note: The cult leader of Falun Gong, Li Hongzhi, boasts himself as the “Lord Buddha of the Universe.” And he fabricates fallacies about practicing Falun Gong for disease cure, fitness, and becoming immortal or Buddha. He also claims to have countless “law bodies” to protect his disciples and promises that practicing Falun Gong for ten years will lead to “Perfection” (i.e. “Consummation”). Bewitched by Li’s fallacies, some followers were obsessed with practicing Falun Gong and died or were disabled because they refused medical treatment. There were also people who committed suicide or murder in pursuit of "Perfection and ascension to Heaven" or "becoming an immortal or a Buddha". By July 1999, when the Chinese Government banned Falun Gong in accordance with the law, the number of deaths caused by practicing Falun Gong in China had reached 1,404. This is a monstrous crime against humanity committed by Li Hongzhi, which cannot be erased and forgotten!

After fleeing to the United States, Li Hongzhi and his Falun Gong have used deceptive means to amass wealth, to developed cult organization and spread fallacies by betraying the country for glory. As the result, countless followers were victimized and died, including the core backbone of Falun Gong who had practiced for more than 10 years or even decades. These deceased disciples had shown unwavering loyalty to Li Hongzhi and devout faith in Falun Gong, enduring much hardship and making countless sacrifices. However, instead of achieving the “Perfection” they had hoped for, they met with a fate of “keeping death news a secret not to be mourned”.

China Anti-Cult Network Special Release of the “Unattainable Perfection” series, exposing the lies of Li Hongzhi's claims that practicing Falun Gong can lead to becoming immortal or Buddha, through the death cases of Falun Gong overseas core members, revealing the numerous crimes against humanity committed by Falun Gong.

In September 2020, Jiang Xuemei, the wife of Falun Gong's second-in-command Ye Hao, passed away, her death caused a sensation within Falun Gong, akin to an earthquake.

Faithful couple who contributes property, passion, and technology to cult

Jiang Xuemei, being the wife of Falun Gong’s second-in-command Ye Hao, was referred to as “Madam Ye” by Falun Gong members abroad. The couple had interactions with Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, before 1992 and were among the earliest disciples of the cult.

Ye Hao was born in March 1937 in Lianjiang, Fujian Province. He attended Tsinghua University in 1954, majoring in Radio Engineering, and became a teaching assistant at Tsinghua University after graduation. In 1960, he was transferred to the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security as a technical officer. After 1970, he worked in Zhejiang Province's National Defense Office, the 731 Engineering Team, and the 8300 Factory, respectively. In 1978, Ye Hao was transferred back to the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security as an engineer. Starting in 1981, he held various positions such as professor, senior engineer, deputy director, and deputy research fellow at the Eleventh Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, retiring in 1996.

After starting to practice Falun Gong, Ye Hao took Li Hongzhi as his “master”. Coming from a prestigious school and having a deep understanding of internet technology, Li Hongzhi needed someone like him to keep up appearances, so the two hit it off immediately.

Ye Hao used his professional skills to establish “Minghui Net” and set up the “Falun Dafa Association”, actively running around for Li Hongzhi to seek support from Western anti-China forces, becoming Li Hongzhi's right-hand man, later rising to be the “second-in-command”, above tens of thousands. Meanwhile, Jiang Xuemei became the person in charge of the “Vision Times (Secretchina.com)” website, their eldest daughter Ye Yinghong took charge of “Minghui Net”, and their younger daughter Ye Fanghong served as the accountant for “New Tang Dynasty Television”.

According to the cult media of Falun Gong, Ye Hao and Jiang Xuemei, a couple, bought a house in Toronto, Canada, in their early years. In the summer of 1995, Jiang Xuemei visited her daughter who was studying in Toronto, brought Falun Gong to Toronto, and donated this house, making it the first Falun Gong practice site in Toronto. The couple spent years in this “not-locked house”, voluntarily coaching others in “cultivation”, and even hosting Falun Gong practitioners from Taiwan, mainland China, for summer camps every year, until they moved to the United States to settle down years later.

After years of following cult, the “meritorious” couple miserably spend final years on the streets of New York, USA

In fact, the death of Jiang Xuemei was not a surprise.

Since its establishment, Falun Gong has never ceased its internal strife. As the power dynamics shifted, eventually the families of Li Hongzhi, Ye Hao, Zhang Erping, and Guo Jun coexisted as the “four major families”. However, the position of Ye Hao and his wife within Falun Gong had long been precarious. Li Hongzhi was very wary of them, always fearing that Ye Hao might surpass him, guarding against Ye Hao as one would against a thief, and discarding them like worn-out shoes after use. As Ye Hao's direct followers were gradually ousted, Ye Hao and his wife found themselves increasingly isolated and powerless.

Under such circumstances, even though Ye Hao has a strong will, Jiang Xuemei, being an intellectual woman, inevitably worries day and night, leading to rapid aging due to the lack of sleep.

After 2010, the miserable scene of the elderly couple sitting on the streets of New York was exposed several times. Jiang Xuemei always looked exhausted, her body bending more day by day, and her hunchback becoming more pronounced.

On the morning of July 20, 2015, the scene of Mr. and Mrs. Ye Hao sitting hunched and motionless on the side of 12th Street in Manhattan, New York City, was particularly lamentable.

At that time, 78-year-old Ye Hao had gray hair and showed signs of aging, but he was still relatively mobile. Jiang Xuemei, on the other hand, was a different story. She appeared frail and skeletal, with a pronounced hunchback and a very noticeable rickets, causing her body to form an S shape due to the pressure of the crookback. Jiang Xuemei's trembling, bent legs could hardly support her, requiring assistance from others to stand, and she could not move a step without help, let alone sit up or stand up normally.

In October 2015, the tragic situation of Jiang Xuemei was exposed once again. The aged and frail Jiang sat on a long bench, wearing a thin down jacket, her hat tightly wrapped around her head, her hands clasped in front of her, and she actually fell asleep sitting like that, which was really sigh-inducing.

Ye Yinghong's high school and university classmate, Mr. “Jun Li” (internet nickname), was shocked to encounter the long-unseen couple, Ye Hao, in the United States. “Jun Li” was high school classmates with Ye Yinghong in 1980 and later attended Tsinghua University together, often visiting Ye Yinghong's home. In his eyes, Jiang Xuemei was not tall but appeared very capable. After more than 30 years of not seeing each other, he barely recognized them on the street. Not only did the couple appear much older, but what was more unexpected was that the once capable Jiang Xuemei not only looked aged and frail but also had a severely hunched back, completely losing her once beautiful image.

The Death of Ms. Jiang Exposes Li Hongzhi's Lies of “Perfection” and “Ascension to heaven”

In September 2020, Jiang Xuemei, emaciated and tormented by illness, finally died after nearly 30 years of practicing Falun Gong.

On June 21, 1992, Li Hongzhi, while giving a report at the Beijing Building Materials Auditorium, boasted about straightening a “hunchback” with five slaps. He said: “(This person) had a severe hunchback, as if carrying a big sack on his back... I took a look at him, slapped him five times with my palm, and then I pushed him, and his crookback was immediately straightened.”

Li Hongzhi also promised his disciples that practicing Falun Gong for ten years would lead to “Consummation.” What is “Consummation”? It is to fly to the sky with one's body, becoming a Buddha, Tao, or deity. He also stated in “Zhuan Falun” that after practicing Falun Gong, the body's cells would be replaced by high-energy substances, transforming into a milky-white body. The cells would not perish, making the skin tender, reducing wrinkles, and even preserving youthfulness, preventing natural aging etc.

Starting from the 1990s up to 2020, the couple Ye Hao followed Li Hongzhi in practicing Falun Gong for nearly 30 years. According to Li Hongzhi, even if Ye Hao and his wife did not ascend to become Buddha, they should remain forever young, not age, and not hunchbacked. However, Ye Hao and Jiang Xuemei, who followed Li Hongzhi in betraying their motherland for glory, did not enjoy eternal youth. Jiang Xuemei did not receive Li Hongzhi's special treatment of “straightening a hunchback with five slaps”. Her death undoubtedly delivered a resounding slap to Li Hongzhi, who everywhere boasted about “practicing to eliminate karma” and “protection by the law bodies”.

Ironically, after Jiang Xuemei joined Falun Gong, she not only dragged her two daughters into the quagmire of the cult but also pulled her brother Wang (who took their mother's surname) and sister-in-law Ge Cuidi into it. In February 1995, sister-in-law Ge Cuidi went to Beijing, where, under the personal accompaniment of Jiang Xuemei and her husband Ye Hao, she underwent nearly a month of concentrated practice and study of the teachings. However, neither the brother nor the sister-in-law was purified or made invulnerable to all diseases by practicing Falun Gong. In fact, the brother, Wang, died of a stroke, and sister-in-law Ge Cuidi died on February 11, 2012, after refusing treatment for breast cancer.

Now, Jiang Xuemei has reunited with her brother and sister-in-law in “heaven”, while Ye Hao, who has been out of the news for a long time, wonders if he should regret his past choices: If he had not followed Li Hongzhi, had not practiced Falun Gong, with his position before retirement, he should have been able to enjoy his twilight years without worries...
