Exposing the lies of Falun Gong Cult

2007-11-16

Since outlawed in 1999, "Falun Gong" cult in China has reached the end of its rope. However, the cult remains rampant in the U.S. and a handful of other countries. This material aims at facilitating better understanding of the cult's true nature and its harm.

I. The Heretical Fallacies of "Falun Gong"

The heretical fallacies of "Falun Gong" prove that it is out and out an anti-humanity, anti-society and anti-science cult. Li Hongzhi, the founder and chief ring leader of "Falun Gong", currently lives in New York. He has made up large numbers of lies and fallacies to deceive the practitioners and the general public. The following are a few examples of his fallacies.

Li Hongzhi says that the mankind has been destroyed 81 times, that the earth is about to explode very soon, and that he is the only one to rely on to prevent the explosion.

He says that the earth is the dumping ground of the universe, with the United States being the largest of all, and that only by practicing "Falun Gong" will one be able to escape.

He claims to be the ruler of the world and bigger than the universe.

He prohibits religious belief among the "Falun Gong" practitioners and accuses religions of deceiving people. He claims to have arranged everything and says that even the holocaust of Jewish people by Hitler was a result of the changes in celestial phenomena.

He makes absurd assertions that "science is forced upon the mankind by the extraterrestrial beings", that the computer is invented by the extraterrestrial beings to control the mankind on earth and that science is a cult.

He says that the "Falun Gong" practitioners must not see the doctor or take medicines to treat disease because "real practitioners never get ill". He even claims that "by practicing Falun Gong, one will not be killed even if he/she runs into a car".

He asks the "Falun Gong" practitioners to give up everything and "let go the thoughts of life and death to become god", and boasts that he will create a miracle by "making all practitioners fly in their body when they reach all-round fulfillment (in other word, die)".

He calls those who prevent the practicing of "Falun Gong" devils, and says that "the regicidal devils must be killed" and that the "Falun Gong" practitioners who hurt or murder their kin may pay back afterwards.

Li Hongzhi used the above lies and fallacies to manipulate the minds of the "Falun Gong" practitioners and caused needless deaths of large numbers of practitioners. Over 1,000 practitioners died because they followed Li's teachings and refused to seek medical treatment for their illnesses. Several hundred practitioners committed self-mutilation or suicide. Over 30 innocent people were killed by mentally deranged practitioners of "Falun Gong". In view of the serious violation of human rights and other criminal activities of "Falun Gong" cult organization, the Chinese Government outlawed this cult according to law in 1999 and issued a hue and cry for the arrest of the suspects including Li Hongzhi.

II. Li Hongzhi Continues to Cheat in the U.S.

After Li Hongzhi escaped to the United States, he further intensified the fabrication of rumors to control the "Falun Gong" practitioners and to deceive the public and the media. The following are a few examples of the incidents and rumors created by the "Falun Gong" organization in recent years.

On January 23, 2001, seven "Falun Gong" practitioners followed Li's heretical fallacies and tried to burn themselves to death at the Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Two of them died and three were serious injured and deformed. However, the "Falun Gong" organization denied that these people were "Falun Gong" practitioners and even spread the rumor that the Chinese Government planned the incident.

In May 2003, the "Minghui Net", a mouthpiece of "Falun Gong" cult, played up the "rape of Wei Xingyan, a graduate student of Chongqing University, by the police at the detention center". The investigation into the allegation revealed that there is no one by the name of Wei Xingyan in Chongqing University, let alone the alleged rape.

In August 2004, the "Minghui Net" played up the "torture in jail of Liao Yuanhua, a practitioner in Hubei Province," and uploaded 17 captioned photographs. Those photos were later proved through investigation to be forged. The forger himself, Liao Yuanhua, admitted his forgery.

In November 2004, the "Falun Gong" mouthpiece "Epoch Times" cooked up "nine commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party". After that, various "Falun Gong" mouthpieces wantonly played up the so-called "quit the Chinese Communist Party" campaign, claiming that over 10 million people had declared "quitting" between December 3, 2004 and end of April 2006. This is a totally groundless and reckless concoction.

III. The So-called "Sujiatun Concentration Camp" is a Sheer Fabrication

Last March, two "Falun Gong" mouthpieces the "Minghui Net" and the "Epoch Times" plotted a sensational story about the so-called "Sujiatun concentration camp", alleging that there was a concentration camp in Sujiatun district of the City of Shenyang in China's Liaoning Province where 6,000 "Falun Gong" practitioners were held and two thirds of them had died and been burnt in the incinerator inside the concentration camp. It was also alleged that their organs were harvested and were to be sold illegally abroad. Later, the "Falun Gong" organization changed their story and claimed that the incident happened in Sujiatun Thrombus Hospital.

The government of Sujiatun District and the authorities of the Sujiatun Thrombus Hospital both made public refutations against this rumor and invited media and personages from home and abroad to visit the site and investigate.

On March 31, reporters with NHK of Japan, Phoenix TV of Hong Kong and other overseas media carried out on-site coverage of the story. They have found that the so-called secret "concentration camp" alleged by "Falun Gong" organization does not exist.

In March and April, the U.S. Embassy and Consulate General twice sent people to Sujiatun District and the Sujiatun Thrombus Hospital for careful tours of the site. A spokeswoman of the U.S. Embassy stated afterwards, "According to all the information we have been able to obtain thus far, the site is functioning only as a hospital."

It is clear that the story about the so-called "Sujiatun concentration camp" played up by the "Falun Gong" organization" is a sheer fabrication full of nothing but absurdity and nonsense.
