Chen Fuda used to be a staff member at the Changchun Mass Art Center in Jilin Province.
He suffered a cerebral thrombus in 1992, but after medical treatment in hospital he could manage daily life by himself. Hoping to recover completely, he, together with his wife, attended a Falun Gong training class and even went personally to Li Hongzhi's home for treatment. Li scratched the top of Chen's head several times, then said, "Well, there's something on the top of your head. I have burned it with my Falun Gong." He added, "Medical treatment runs contrary to my Falun Gong. Get out of the hospital right now." Chen Fuda then pinned his hope for complete recovery on Li Hongzhi. Yet contrary to his expectations, his condition did not improve but became even worse and kept him bed-ridden. Back to the hospital, the doctors said, "Since you stopped taking medicine after leaving the hospital, it is too late for the treatment." Soon Chen's condition deteriorated and finally became a vegetable.
