Wang Jiamei, born on January 8, 1939 in Jiyang County, Shandong Province, was a retiree of Oil Company in Jiyang County, Jinan City. She died at the age of 59 for believing "Fashen (law bodies) protection" and refusing to be treated.
After retiring, Wang Jiamei got into trouble in 1997. Her son took a leave of work and stay at home because of leg disability, so the family income was less. And her grandson's education need more cost. The life was hard. At this time Wang Jiamei knew something about Falun Gong from a friend. When she heard practicing Falun Gong could cure disease, improve health, and dispel trouble, even make you a god, so she and her son dove into Falun Gong. After that, Wang Jiamei and her son spent most of time to practice and attend meets. They told everyone they met that how amazing Falun Gong was. They thought "removing karma", "Consummation" and "reaching high level" everday.
In April, 1998, Wang Jiamei caught a cold and had a high fever. She became thin and weak. Her daughter-in-law wanted to take her to hospital but she refused. She said: "Kid, I am old, I did wrong things before. My sick must be caused by heavy karma. It will be ok if I keep practicing to get Karma-removing." Her son also said:"One practices, the whole family will benefit. Mother and I practice, so we both have the master's 'Fashen protection'. The master have countless Fashen, he is in charge of human being. It will be ok. "
Although her daughter-in-law worried about her very much, Wang Jiamei was adamant, believing that the master's Fashen would protect her, make her safe and sound and cure her naturally. Wang Jiamei asked her son to throw the medicine away brought by her dauther-in-law to show her loyalty to Falun Gong. She also practiced on the bed, pretending that nothing happened.. In that time, Wang Jiamei had a fever of 39.3℃. She was delirious and fainted three times, but she still insisted on practicing.
The high fever tured more serious because Wang Jiamei refused to go to hospital and take medicine. Wang Jiamei's daughter-in-law felt something wrong when she went back home. She asked people to send Wang Jiamei to hospital but it was too late. Wang Jiamei died of illness at 6:20 PM on April 10, 1998, when she was only 59 years old.
