It took Zhou Wenxuan 15 years before he woke up from a nightmare. Talking about his experience of practicing Falun Gong for so many years, Zhou said, "Practicing Falun Gong will only kill people instead of curing any diseases. If you follow Li Hongzhi, you’ll come to a dead end." Zhou had lost too much because of his obsession with Falun Gong! He was almost fifty years old when he woke up from this nightmare.How many fifteen years can a person have in his life?
Zhou Wenxuan is a native of Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. He graduated from college before joining an industrial and commercial administration department as a state civil servant. Zhou’s wife is a teacher in a kindergarten affiliated with the Yongzhou municipal authorities. They had a lovely daughter after marriage, living a life envied by many people at that time.
However, while Zhou was leading an enviable life, an evil demon came to his side. In late September 1997, the Falun Gong cult gradually penetrated Zhou’s life. In Huaisu Park of Lingling District, some people were teaching Falun Gong. According to Zhou's recollection, his initial impression was only that those Falun Gong assistants were very kind and enthusiastic. He heard them say that Falun Gong was a good practice that could improve one’s health without costing any money, so he began to learn it with them in a muddled-headed way.
After joining Falun Gong, Zhou Wenxuan gradually got fascinated by Master Li Hongzhi and his Dafa. As a highly-educated man, his level of understanding was significantly higher than that of his fellow practitioners, allowing him to "ascend to high levels" more quickly. He seemed to have made much "advancement" within the circle of the Falun Gong cult organization. Soon after, he was appointed as the deputy director of the Falun Gong assistance station in the local district.
Zhou Wenxuan was completely brainwashed by the heretical fallacies of Falun Gong in the process of studying the “Fa". He not only looked down upon "ordinary people" but also felt his “gong pillar” was much higher than that of his fellow practitioners. He devoted himself to studying and spreading the “Fa", so much so that he spent all his savings on it. In his dream-like "cultivation", he gained a sense of "achievement" and felt that only Dafa could embody the so-called Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
After the Falun Gong cult was outlawed by the State in July 1999, Li Hongzhi, the cult leader, sent out additional "scriptures" to deceive his disciples for sinister political purposes. He used the illusory "consummation" as bait to encourage his followers to "rectify the Fa" outside and even make trouble in Beijing. Under such circumstances, Zhou Wenxuan went to Beijing with his fellow practitioners to carry out the so-called "Fa-rectification” activities to "reach consummation”, as he was so deep in the quagmire of the Falun Gong cult that he was unable to extricate himself from it.
According to Zhou's recollection, the first time he went to "rectify the Fa" with his fellow practitioners in Beijing was in November 1999. They were later sent home by the public security authorities for their serious disruption of social order. However, being deeply poisoned by Falun Gong's heretical fallacies, Zhou Wenxuan didn’t understand that what he was doing broke the law. As he still held Dafa as the "Supreme Law of the Universe" and placed it above national laws, he went to Beijing again with his fellow practitioners to carry out the so-called "Fa-rectification" activities with arrogance and ignorance. Over several years, Zhou Wenxuan went to Beijing six times with his fellow practitioners, inciting dozens of Falun Gong followers to make trouble there, which seriously disrupted social order.
However, none of the blessings given to Zhou Wenxuan by "Master" Li Hongzhi seemed to have brought him any benefit. Instead, because of his frequent tiring trips and irregular life, plus the fact that the so-called "body cleansing" and "law body protection" were aimed at deceiving people, Zhou fell ill instead of reaching “consummation”. Even at this point, he still insisted on "practicing true cultivation" and refused to take medication, and he shouted the Falun Gong slogans now and then.
To accumulate the so-called “power and virtue”, Zhou Wenxuan spent nearly 100,000 yuan on Falun Gong, exhausting all his savings. Because of his infatuated belief that "one Person practicing benefits the whole family," his daughter was attacked by mental illness. In 2000, his wife divorced him for being unable to bear his indifference. It was because of the Falun Gong cult that Zhou Wenxuan had lost not only his wife but also his money!
Zhou Wenxuan said, "Falun Gong is an outright evil cult, and the so-called 'consummation' advocated by Li Hongzhi is truly deceitful nonsense. Falun Gong practice can't cure our diseases, and one person practicing Gong can't possibly benefit his whole family. I am a victim of Falun Gong. My family broke apart after I became a Falun Gong practitioner!" Thinking of his former fellow practitioners still obsessed with Falun Gong and unable to extricate them from it, Zhou Wenxuan persuaded them by saying, "Stop practicing this evil gong! Make a clean break with it and resume your normal life as soon as possible, and make up for the harm you have done to society and your family."
