The murder case proves once again that, by having spiritual control over others through fabricated fallacies, Li Hongzhi and his "Falun Gong" really endanger society, have brought tragedy to families and individuals and greatly infringed upon human rights. Incomplete statistic shows that, so far, more than 1700 people have become victims of the "Falun Gong" cult organization. Fu Yibin's killing of his father and his wife has once again revealed the cult nature of "Falun Gong." Falun Gong has been shown, once again, to be an inhuman, anti-social group which endangers lives.
In this sense, the China Association for Cultic Studies solemnly declares: the Chinese government's outlawing of the "Falun Gong" cult organization serves to benfit the people and protect their life and property. We firmly support the guidelines and polices of the Party and Chinese government in addressing the "Falun Gong" issue; we condemn "Falun Gong" for violating the laws, infringing up human rights and endangering lives. In the meantime, we urge the government to carry out severe punishment on those "Falun Gong" members who have endangered society and the people. We truly hope those "Falun Gong" practitioners who are still obsessed will wake up and cast off the spiritual control of "Falun Gong" as soon as possible, and return to society and normal life.
Since it was established, the China Association for Cultic Studies has been committed to defending the dignity of human beings, ensuring the implementation of laws, maintaining social stability and fighting against evil forces and cults. We will follow this principle and fight against any cult organization that endangers people's lives and property, disrupts social and public order and hinders law enforcement and social stability so as to make our due contribution to eradicating any cult organization.
